SILKS FOR KIDS (Ages 8–12)

Level 1: Beginner

Duration: 75 minutes — For new students only

This gentle introduction to aerial silks invites young explorers to discover strength, coordination, and the joy of movement. Children learn safe wraps, basic foot locks, and gentle climbs in a calm, supportive space. Creativity is encouraged through playful flows and imaginative prompts—transforming the silks into whatever they can imagine. By the end of class, kids will feel proud of their budding confidence and eager to rise higher.

Students with prior experience should contact the studio for an evaluation and proper placement.

Level 2: Intermediate

Duration: 75 minutes — Instructor placement required

As budding aerialists, Level 2 students build upon their foundations with grace and intention. They explore dynamic transitions—such as climbs, soft inversions, and foundational poses—while learning to link movements into sequences. This level champions growing autonomy, helping every student feel both strong and expressive.

Level 3: Advanced

Duration: 75 minutes — Instructor placement required

Here, young aerialists deepen their connection to the silks with fluid combinations and personal flair. They refine transitions, add gentle drops, and explore choreography that nurtures strength, artistry, and inner poise. Classes encourage musicality and self-expression while building performance-ready skills.

• Students may want to bring a shirt with sleeves to protect their under arms.
• Leotards and unitards are also recommended as they will provide more coverage for your skin.
• Students should refrain from wearing jewelry that will snag or rip aerial fabric, this includes diamonds or rings with sharp edges, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, pants with obtrusive zippers and buttons, diamond-encrusted sports bras, etc.
