IN HOME PERFORMANCE SCREENING

In these unprecedented times, we are more committed than ever to fulfilling our mission of pouring transcendent works of beauty into the world. In our current worldwide crisis, we are doing so by bringing full Blue Lapis Light Productions to your home.

In exchange for a donation of $25.00 or more, we will send the Blue Lapis Light Production listed below straight to your inbox.

This will be our last screening online this season. We plan to contribute 25% of all proceeds to Austin Justice Coalition and 25% of all proceeds to Six Square, two local African American organizations who are working to build community alliances, and preserving and promoting black arts, history and culture.

NOW SHOWING:

IMPERMANENCE, 2009

For this site-specific aerial dance performance the audience faced the J.J. Pickle building. 40ft aerial silks were suspended from cable, 5 aerialists ascended on to them and climbed above the plaza. As the silks blew in the gentle night breeze, dancers partnered on them, holding each other above the concrete plaza.  Another dancer descended from an 80’ zipline onto the plaza walking through the towers of cloth into the building. Rappellers descended, jumping down the front face of the building, followed by dancers moving across the building facade. Dedicated and Inspired by vocalist/musician/composer, Tina Marsh, who passed on the evening before the opening of Impermanence... Eternal love amidst life’s ever-changing journey.
