Laura Cannon has been a collaborator, choroegrapher and featured performer with Blue Lapis Light since 2000 and the company's rehearsal director since 2004. She was recently honored by the Austin Critic's Table with the 2006 John Bustin Award for Conspicuous Achievement for her work as a performer and costume designer. She is also a member of the Rude Mechanicals Theatre Collective and the Salvage Vanguard Theatre Company. In 2005 she received the Austin Critic's Table award for Outstanding Costume Design for her work with these companies.
