SAM PALMER is a certified yoga instructor who specializes in Ashtanga yoga and has studied and practiced yoga intensely since 1993. He has also been a serious student of ballet since 2005. Sam is a former musician and songwriter and was the lead vocalist/bass player for a band who performed professionally until he left the band in 2001. Now Sam is a performer of dance and contortion and has performed on stages that have varied greatly in both size and prestige. Sam has performed as a dancer with Austin Metropolitan Ballet and Austin Classical Ballet, and as an actor in the Royal Ballet of London's 2007 production of Sleeping Beauty in San Antonio. Sam first performed with Blue Lapis Light in its 2008 production of Constellation, and then again in Impermanence in 2009. Sam is currently pursuing a degree in dance at TWU in Denton, Texas.
