Khoi Bao Le graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas State University with a BBA in Accounting and a BS in Dance. It was at Texas State University that he began his training in the Erick Hawkins modern technique. As Artistic Director and Technical Director of the student organization Orchesis Dance Company, Khoi was able to choreograph and manage several dance productions throughout his tenure. During his time in Texas, Khoi performed with several professional dance companies such as Sharir + Bustamante Danceworks, Forklift Danceworks, and Blue Light Lapis. His awards include the Connie-Webb Brown Memorial Scholarship, the Maude Ogle Scholar Award, the Opening Door Dance Theatre Productions Award, the Fine Arts and Communication Scholarship, and the R.J. Publications Scholarship. In 2007, Khoi relocated to New York City. He is on scholarship for the professional training program at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance and is currently dancing for White Wave Dance Company and Alaine Handa Dance Company. Khoi joined Blue Lapis Light in 2006 and has performed in Requiem (2006), Constellation (2007), and Illumination (2007).
